If there is indeed a heaven, it is most certainly filled with peanut butter buttercream.
Today’s cupcake is the Peanut Butter Sammich!
Peanut butter cupcakes with strawberry puree filling, topped with peanut butter buttercream, a strawberry drizzle, and a little heart-shaped peanut butter sammich!
I love them.
Some of my cupcakes were a little over-done, but I’ll keep that in mind for next time. Nobody eating the cupcakes seems to be concerned about the fact that they are like 1/10th over-done. I’m sort of a perfectionist.
[as if those miniature heart-shaped peanut butter sammiches didn't cue you in to that minor personality detail.]
Unfortunately, the world is not in favor of my perfectionist tendencies today. While I was driving them to work in their little cupcake carrier–
I had to stop quick in traffic, and all of the little cuppies on the top row seriously flipped over. **tear** I tried to save their lives as much as I could when I arrived at work, but they are sadly not as pretty now as they were in these pictures.
But again, it’s not stopping anyone from eating them.
I would eat one today, but I snacked on peanut butter buttercream for roughly 4 hours last night. This is probably not good for my girlish figure. The ‘cupcake table’ is located approximately 10 feet from my office, and all I can smell is delicious peanut butter.
[note to self: start making cupcakes that you don't like to eat!]
